This look includes my favorite color crush capsule pieces for the month of January. I wore this boucle coat, electric blue ankle boots, pom earrings, and striped crossbody on repeat all month long! I added even more texture and patterns to this look with a polka dot ruffle wrap dress & pretty lace cami.
A week and a half ago, I headed home to sunny San Diego to surprise my dad for his 50th birthday! He had no idea I was coming and I the look on his face made it so worth the trip! I mentioned before that I plan to squeeze my loved ones tighter in 2018. What better way to do that, than by seeing them more often! Budgeting more of these experiences, however, requires shifting my financial priorities. Conscious spending is hard for a shopaholic foodie such as myself, but redefining the parameters of the color crush capsule was a huge help. If you want to learn more about how to create your own color crush capsule, and save money without sacrificing style, mouse on over to this post.
Is it just me, or has November been a whirlwind of a month? Aside from posting on Instagram, I haven’t had the chance to even remotely think about blogging. Between the end of first quarter, planning meetings at work, and catching up on my graduate school load, I even postponed celebrating my birthday! Although I should probably read or grade right now, I’m thankful to be home in San Diego and for some extra time to indulge with y’all for a bit. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
This is by far my favorite time of year. I love food with family & friends, hot drinks, cozy candles, and long walks through the Christmas section at Crate & Barrel. The fashion scene is also home to a never-ending parade of my favorite seasonal piece, a chunky knit, and a good one has my heart forever and ever. Once the temperatures drop I’m in sweater weather mode from now until the end of March and today’s post is an ode to this wardrobe staple. I’m sharing seven sweater trends I’m loving for this fall (and winter) and my top picks for each in all my favorite fall hues and jewel tones.
